Remember watching the TV show Herbie the Love Bug growing up? Or have you ever been fascinated as a young child about how “cool” it would be to ride in a beetle-shaped car? The iconic Volkswagen continues to have endearing charm since its inception in the 1930s. It literally means “the people’s car” in German. (FYI: Interestingly, it was designed by the same engineer who founded the Porsche automobile company!)

The Volkswagen Beetle was marketed as “the Beetle” in the early 1960s but is better known as “the bug“ in the US because of its relatively small size. As a best-selling, fuel-efficient, “cool” car, it grew in popularity with surfers and the hippie movement. Since then, it maintained its basic vintage look through the years.

We, at VANCA, have chosen to create a genuine leather keychain miniature of this vintage automobile. Few of us will ever get to try to open-air cruising with a top-down Volkswagen convertible, but let this replica put you in the imaginative driver’s seat.
